At AVK Plast the following LEAN philosophies have been implemented
- Kaizen (Continuous Improvement)
- Muda (The 7 types of Waste)
- 5S (Workplace Organization)
- SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die)
In order to follow the progress/results of the LEAN work we conduct an on going number of registrations within order management, production, delivery and waste analysis as well as complaints handling.
At weekly meetings with operators, tool setters as well as production and quality management, multimedia displays are used to review all deviations within delivery, complaints, wastage and internal errors of the previous week. Causes of errors will be discussed, and all types of suggestions for improvements in both the short and the long run will be executed.
LEAN-meetings have contributed to the fact that each year we have been able to set further goals for our performance. Over the past years, this has enabled AVK Plast to effect the production, so that today, we have the absolute lowest failure rates in the market.
Consequently, we are now the preferred supplier of plastic parts to companies, who make the highest demands in terms of their subcontractors (as regard to quality and price) including the largest manufacturers of wind turbines in the world.
